The creation of a research group focused on the characteristics of SoftDoc represents a shift in trend in fundamental research within Documentation Sciences, which are often anchored in past approaches. There is a movement toward the renewal of Documentation, using new information technologies as an indispensable tool, with the aim of inventing and exploiting new pathways for the management, organization, and utilization of current informational and documentary resources. SoftDoc embodies the change to which we at mblazquez.es have aligned ourselves and fully support.
