A complete update of all contents of the Academic Blog of Specialized Information Sources (one of the most consulted blogs, with over 90,000 visits since its creation) has recently been carried out. Due to this transformation process, the URL has changed, and many users have been unable to access it normally. The blog has not been deleted and remains available at the following address:

Changes and new contents
Some of the changes and innovations currently underway include the introduction of PPT presentation documents summarizing each chapter or lesson of the academic Blog. In addition, a comprehensive review of the chapters is being conducted, significantly expanding explanations, adding new examples, verifying and validating references to the original sources of information, and incorporating new topics previously unaddressed. The contents being covered are: a) Conceptual delineation of Science, Technology, Scientific Knowledge, and Technology; b) Information and scientific reference services, classification and characterization; c) The process of transmission and communication of scientific knowledge; d) Document typology in scientific production; e) Description and evaluation of specialized information sources; f) The scientific journal; g) Patents.
Update Schedule
If you access this page immediately after the publication of this notice, you will observe that new content is still pending publication on the Blog. Indeed, there is an update schedule centered on the academic calendar for the 2014–2015 academic year. In this manner, two articles will be added per week until the completion of the update plan at the beginning of April 2015.
