A recent complete update has been carried out on all content of the Academic Blog of Specialized Information Sources (one of the most consulted blogs, with over 90,000 visits since its creation). Due to this transformation process, the URL has changed, and many users have been unable to access it normally. The Blog has not been deleted and remains available at the following address:

Changes and New Content

Some of the changes and innovations include the introduction of PPT presentation documents that summarize each chapter or lesson of the academic blog. Additionally, a thorough review of all chapters is underway, significantly expanding explanations, adding new examples, verifying and validating references to the original information sources, and incorporating previously unaddressed topics. The subjects currently being covered are: a) Conceptual delineation of Science, Technology, Scientific Knowledge, and Technology; b) Information and scientific reference services, classification and characterization; c) The process of transmission and communication of scientific knowledge; d) Document typology in scientific production; e) Description and evaluation of specialized information sources; f) Scientific journals; g) Patents.

Update Schedule

If you access immediately after the publication of this news, you will notice that new content still remains to be published on the Blog. In fact, there is a content update schedule centered on the academic calendar of the 2014-2015 academic year. Thus, two articles will be added per week until the completion of the update plan at the beginning of April 2015.
