The "Mendeley Profile" arises from the need to keep the list of publications updated on a research website such as mblazquez.es, developed using WordPress. In this way, any publication or updated detail in the personal Mendeley profile is automatically transferred to any WordPress page, properly formatted and integrated. Additionally, the plugin allows configuring which aspects of the profile should be visible and which should not—for example, professional experience, publications by type, education, awards, biographical data, affiliation, photograph, etc. The result is simple yet highly useful: there is no need to manually edit scientific publication data twice. Updating Mendeley automatically updates the WordPress page without any intervention.
Installation
The plugin can be installed directly by any WordPress administrator from the Plugins section in the Backend.
Configuration
Plugin configuration is located in the "Settings" or "Adjustments" section of the WordPress Backend. Only the public URL of the Mendeley user profile is required. Subsequently, you can select which elements of the profile, curriculum, and publications should be displayed.
