The library of the Instituto Gemológico de Madrid began operating with the Colibrí SIGB. It is the first library in Spain to adopt a system of this nature and to have entrusted its development and promotion, opting for a comprehensive automation plan that encompasses the cataloging, identification, shelving, and primary classification of its bibliographic holdings.

Although the program is still under development, its core functions operate normally, and its OPAC catalog is available to any user wishing to consult the holdings of the Instituto Gemológico de Madrid. The institution’s and library’s contact details are as follows.
