The AXYZnews news system is being prepared for its imminent launch in the coming weeks. Currently, work is underway on the graphical interface and the information representation and visualization systems. Various versions are also being designed to meet the needs of research, individual users, and enterprises.
Moreover, AXYZnews has just passed the fault-tolerant performance test. This means that the program operates stably even under the most demanding conditions. The test involved processing all syndication channels of Spanish media outlets, totaling 5,600 information sources, under very specific conditions. The AXYZnews system had to retrieve all published news and classify it in real time, comparing against more than 3,600 terms derived from filters and ontologies implemented based on the Eurovoc European thesaurus. The test was repeated 10 times throughout February 12, 2015, with no operational failures recorded. The results from all tests indicate that during the first minute, AXYZnews collected 4,500 news items; after four minutes, 10,000 news items; and in just nine additional minutes, over 20,000 news items. Furthermore, AXYZnews is designed to process urgent or high-priority information sources more rapidly, achieving complete update cycles every 30 seconds, independently of other syndication channels.
